This auction is for a collection of 8 Mackenzie -Childs Bread and Butter Plates in an assortment of Taylor patterns: one each of Aalsmeer, Keukenhof, Stoke Gabriel, Aurora, Brittany, Madison and two King Ferry plates. These plates are about 7" in diameter and were carefully selected from the store in Aurora NY several years ago. The painted patterns are lovely and the plates don't have any unusual pits. In the interest of complete disclosure I will tell you that some of the plates are not completely level. Other than that, the plates are like new, with the usual irregularities that are typical of a hand-made, hand-painted item. They have never been used, just displayed in my china cabinet. As a small bonus, the winning bidder will also receive a copy of "The Good Life" Central New York Magazine which features an article about Mackenzie and Childs, who are pictured on the cover. Bid with confidence. My home is smoke and pet free. These valuable plates have been carefully packed and the package is quite heavy, which explains the relatively high shipping charge. I am not interested in making money on shipping, actual shipping cost upon request.
