Mackenzie-Childs Trapeze Platter Gold, Silver, Copper Metallic finishes Heir to Evervolving I am a big fan of the Mackenzie-Childs limited production pieces in the Evervolving line. This Trapeze line is the apparent heir to this esoteric collection and is sure to capture the collector’s eye. Like Evervolving, these pieces are difficult and expensive to produce since they use a considerable amount of high quality gold, silver and copper in the production of each piece. The affect is absolutely stunning! This platter has the lovely swirl pattern in its base and an array of colored bands hand painted to dress the rim that include rich ruby, emerald, sapphire colors. You can see the gold, silver and copper metals applied before firing that give the platter a stunning finish. This is a good size serving platter that measures 18” in length and is 13” wide. It is new, never used with no chips, cracks or other imperfections other than the natural flaws in the firing and typical of these handmade pieces.
