This is a totally fabulous and authentic edible object, or at least it was about 10 years ago, when I bought it at the Madison Avenue store in NYC. It came from the 'Butlers Pantry' of the flagship store. It cost $25.00 as best I can recall and is an absolute beauty. It is in its original packaging, and box and has never been opened or out of its sealed package. The spout looked a little loose to me and I stated this, But it was returned to me by the auction winner because he said it was totally broken off. Neither of us took it out of the package. It seems to be separated, but the spout is not damaged, just separated from the teapot. As I said, I bought this from the only place they were sold, but at the time, they did advise me that if it broke I cold repair it with more icing. This has never been repaired, and was only loose until a week ago. Despite all of this technical info, I repeat; It Is Beyond Fabulous. The cookie is made of chocolate and is in the shape of a teapot, but the icing decor is MacKenzie-Childs at their best. The top of the pot is edible gold leaf, and has signature black and white checks, along with over the top beads and sparkling jewels.
