Macross Takatoku 1/76 ARMORED VALKYRIE toy complete+box This is a very rare Japanese Super Dimensional Fortress Macross 1/76 scale Armored Valkyrie toy by Tatatoku Toys. That puts it as being made in the early 1980s, before Bandai had the toy license. It is complete with all the armor components and in box. Box h as a metal Big West sticker on it to show authenticity. The box has considerable rub wear on it and there's a three-way split in the window over the Valkyrie itself. The armor is intact, but the front half of the left arm has warped from heat. Also, the back of the head has come loose... part of the internal section that held the screw has snapped. Some glue would take care of it. The armor still fits over the arm though. Includes sticker sheet! It has a unique action, the head tilts forward and the cockpit seat with pilot can be lifted up. The instructions were printed on the back of the box instead of on a sheet. As the Armored Valk only appeared in one episode, toys for it tend to be rare (and expensive). Better known as a Robotech Veritech in the US, the Macross anime helped launch the transforming "real robot" genre and it remains popular to this day.
