Okay,,,it was 1 degree Fahrenheit this morning when I finally got boots on the ground.That may not be impressive in some parts of the country but to an Ex-Texican transplanted to Northern Arizona,,,that is a mite chilly.I haven't had a saddle on a mule since an Elk hunt last November & the mule's water had about 4 inches of ice on it this morning. I am about to become bored stupid.So,,,let's do some trading. This offering is for a knife I ordered through the folks at Edged Specialties. I ordered it to replace a Mad Dog Pygmy Atak that I have been carrying full time for a bit.The Texan Hunter was designed for a Texan (go-figure) who wanted all the knife he could carry legally in Texas (5 1/2" is the max).The Texas Hunter has a blade that it 5 3/8" long so their won't be any mis-measurement errors should you encounter a Texas Law Enforcement Officer.The Texas Hunter ll has a partial blade serration on the proximal end of the cutting edge.I ordered this knife with an extra IWB (inside the waist band) sheath in case I wanted to carry it a little more discretely.It also comes with the standard High-Ride kydex sheath that I think is about the ultimate sheath to carry a tactical or rescue type knife.Here is some technical info on Mad Dog knives.The blade steel is Starrett 496-01 high carbon tool steel.
