This adorable little girl is Baby Jane Quigly She is a portrait of child movie star Juanita Quigly, who was originally billed as Baby Jane. She was made in 1935 and this face was only used for her. She is very hard to find. When she came to me she had no hair, shoes or socks. The dress and onesie she is in is a very appropriate, vintage, mommy made outfit. The dress is organdy with lace trim, the onesie is cotton. There is a large hole in the right sleeve, although it is fairly well hidden in the folds. She has what I think might be Shirley Temple socks that I found at a doll show, along with what I think might be original Madame Alexander side snaps with bows on the toes. The wig is an Alexander mohair wig in the correct color and style, that I also found on an old Alexander baby doll. Her back is badly marked and there are a couple cracks, can't imagine what happened to it. Looks like her mommy gave her a scrubbing at one time. There are some chips and wear to fingers, toes look like her mommy dragged her around barefoot as they are badly worn and heels also are chipped and worn. There are marks on one foot and ankle that look like the pattern of a sock, like maybe it got warm and impressed itself on the doll.
