LOVELY RARE MADAME ALEXANDER DOLL -- BALLET IMPERIAL 2006 -- BALLERINA DOLLThis is a very difficult to find Madame Alexander doll. I'm not a doll expert, but I've check around on the internet and can't find others for sale. This may be a limited edition. This may be a "Cissy" doll, but I'm not sure & I'll leave that to the experienced Madame Alexander collector to decide.She is a beautiful ballerina doll with dark brown hair and eyes, ringlets and red flowers in her hair. Her ballet tutu is a pale green with embroidery in different colors of green and red. She has layers of white and pale green netting underneath the cloth part of her tutu. She has white tights that have a bit of sheen or sparkle to them. And, she has bright red slippers and bright red ribbon lacing on her bodice. Her eyes open and close; arms and legs move, but do not bend at the elbow or knee.The Imperial Russian Ballet Company (now called the Mariinsky Ballet) is one of the most famous ballet companies -- originally founded in the 1800s.
