The Becky Thatcher doll was one of the "Convention Special" dolls of the MADC 2010 St. Louis Convention. A "Convention Special" doll is only won by a special drawing and she is a limited edition of only 160 dolls. Becky was portrayed as Tom Sawyer's sweetheart in Mark Twain's book, "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer." With her freckles and long braids, it looks like she just stepped out of the literary classic. She is adorable dressed in a lavender floral print with puff sleeves and neckline trimmed in white. She wears a cute lavender apron with a light green trim ending in a large bow in the back. Her light gray woven sun bonnet trimmed with white ruffle and lavender flowers is tied with a lavender silk ribbon. Underneath she wears white bloomers edged with white lace and lavender shoes and socks. She has only been removed from box once for photos. Becky will come in her Madame Alexander box, pink tissue, wrist tag and Certificate of Authenticity.
