Shown on a round table, but this is a bedspread having MADE IN ITALY sewn-in tag. I believe this is jacquard weave in silk (guessing). It doesn't have an extremely high textured variation in design - almost more like damask. Perhaps it's brocade! It is beautiful and has what I believe is buillion frings on three sides. This item measures 92" x 87" including the 4 1/2" fringe on three sides. I did find a very few pulls - nothing drastic, and if owner chooses to cut threads - undetectible. Also easily worked back into the design. I did find two small pencil eraser size areas close together and which exactly topped two flower petals which are either something on the item or very slight storage discoloration - hardly worth mentiioning.
