Hold onto your hats, Tenyo collectors!!!! This is without a doubt going to be the jewel of your collection....a terrific brand spanking new magic kit, released by Tenyo Magic Company of Tokyo Japan. Let me give you some background on how this effect has made it to auction. Earlier this year I was fortunate to receive one of the Tenyo "Magic World" sets (I collect Tenyo and have the Japan Tenyo shipped to me each year). As soon as I received the kit and played with it for awhile, I realized that Tenyo had a hit on their hands! I contacted Hiroshi Kondo of the Tenyo Company, telling him I was absolutely delighted with the kit. He responded in a very humble manner, and told me this kit was three years in development. I wrote back saying that it would be great if Richard Kaufman of Genii magazine could review the set (Richard reviews the new Tenyo magic released each year). Hiroshi sent a "Magic World" set to Richard, and via an email sent to me, Richard said he would be including a great review in the March Genii magazine!!

I've got to say what immediately struck me about the set was that it was manufactured in the traditional style of Tenyo's high quality. Everything is exceptionally well made in the kit (the bill changer is the best plastic version I have ever seen in my life). As well, Tenyo has come up with some very creative variations on traditional effects (paddles shaped like leaves, with lady bugs on them, thimbles shaped like bunnies and top hats, and my personal favourite, the Okito box made to look like a genii's lamp!). T are several well made traditional effects too, including a very nice set of chrome plated plastic Cups and Balls, the money changer, a magnetic wand, a beautiful svengali deck, and a nice coin and shell set. T are also three traditional Tenyo effects (Lubor's keys, Coin through Match, and Moonspinner) but what's great is that the majority of the tricks have never been made by Tenyo before in any other kit or set. The kit comes with 15 effects, and a book of 120 tricks (the books explains the 15 tricks, and then explains how to combine several of them to create new tricks and routines) as well as an instructional DVD. Unfortunately the instructions are in Japanese (this kit will not be released in North America, Tenyo has assured me of this!!) but the drawings and DVD make it easy to master all the tricks. I was already telling a fellow Tenyo Collector about this kit, and he insisted I attempt to get one for him. I was able to get two, so I'm selling one This kit is being shipped from North America (Canada) so you won't have to worry about it travelling half way across the world! Hiroshi Kondo told me that Tenyo probably won't release another kit like this for at least five years....its too bad because I would love to add one of these to my collection each year.
