The Bridgnorth (Shropshire) hoard, found in 2007, contains a large number of bronze coins struck in the mid-fourth century at mints in the Western Empire. It includes coins of the emperors Constans (337-50) and Constantius II (337-61) with the majority of the usurpers Magnentius (350-53) and Decentius (351-53). Many of the coins appear to have been newly minted and some retain rarely found silvering. Offered here is a representative selection from the hoard by Emperor, type and mint. After the British Museum and Shropshire Museum acquired coins from the hoard for their collections, the remainder was returned to the finder and landowner. These ancients from this hoard are some of the finest quality of these types ever found. Welcome to Centsles!
