My knowledge of horology is limited but this seems to be aslave clock, to be used in conjunction with a master clock, as used in post offices, municipal buildings and factories in the early to mid 20 th century. I would guess this to be from the 40’s or 50’s.On the back of the mechanism it says:‘MAGNETA Trade Mark, Impulse Movement, 20 Volts, M/A’s, Do not connect direct to A.C. or D.C. mains’The surround has a diameter of 27cm. The face has a diameter of 19.5 cm. The surround appears to be brass under a lacquer – It’s certainly a non magnetic metal.Condition: The mechanism has not been electrically tested but the minute hand moves when the ‘press to advance’ button is pushed. The surround has acquired a look of age, with a few spots of corrosion and a couple of small dents. The face itself and the glass look to be in excellent condition.
