This is a beautifully designed Chinese BRONZE CENSER dating back to the 17th or early 18th century. This unusual figural artwork is made in the shape of a Fo Lion Dog was his head is removable and functions as the partly reticulated lid of the vessel. SPECIFICATIONS:_______________COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: China.DATE: 17th or early 18th century. MATERIAL: Bronze.MANUFACTURING TECHNIQUE: Casting, reticulation & fine chase work. CONDITION: Very good ORIGINAL as found condition with tiny notches and one minor manufacturing imperfection (one small hole) at the chest. NO RESTORATION!
