From my personal vintage jewelry collection: This is a heavy, very decadent-looking bracelet in an elaborate Deco design, circa 1940's. The bracelet is signed "Kreisler USA" on the back of the centerpiece, and also on the back of the clasp. Pieces by this talented designer, who is one of my favorites, are hard to come by and in great demand, especially these early ones. The Kreisler company has a long, but very interesting history. They were known for making elaborate designs with only the finest materials in their costume jewelry. Jewelry signed by this company is very desirable and extremely hard to find! This was a thrill to find! The bracelet is designed with a large and heavy curved centerpiece containing 5 good-sized deep purple diamond-shaped multi-faceted rhinestones, outlined with elaborate gold-toned scrolled and twisted wire. The ends of the centerpiece are set with 5 sparkling-clear baguettes set in an arched shape in the center of the golden scrolled metal. The centerpiece also contains both gold and silver-toned metalwork, and is connected to either end by a shiny, gold-toned basket-weave mesh bracelet/band. The shiny gold-toned flexible watch-type band has a convenient clasp with a very tight and secure with a hidden slide catch. The metalwork has much detail, an indication that this is, in fact, an older and better piece. All stones are bright and clear, with virtually no wear to them or to the shiny metalwork. It really looks remarkable in terms of wear. T appear to be no stones that are dull, dark, or missing, which is quite amazing in itself. T is so much sparkle and shimmer! I believe this awesome piece was well-loved and worn accordingly. Measuring approx. 7 1/4 inches long in wearable length, and 1 inch wide at the centerpiece, the bracelet is a very wearable size and weight, albeit heavy. It is of the greatest quality, and has a solid feel, indicative of the meticulous construction that went into it. This is a fabulous old Kreisler bracelet that I hate parting with! Although familiar to collectors, you don't see these designs very often, and you will not be disappointed in it!***Pictures always make the pieces less brilliant & colorful than they are in real life!****All sales final.
