It is our pleasure to present, for your consideration, this gorgeous very fine quality signed Neo Classical Empire Flame Mahogany Sideboard with Fancy Pineapple Fountain Carved Corinthian Half-Columns on the Chimney Splash, Pineapple Fountain Carved Corinthian Full-Columns on the Front and Four Acanthus Carved Hairy Paw Feet (Circa: 1890). This handsome Sideboard weighs approximately 250 pounds and measures 51" in height (from the floor to the top of the Chimney Splash), 40 ¾" (from the floor to the top surface), 72 ½" in width, and 26" in depth. It was made by James Vint and Son, Albany NY (see the signature on the back). Examples of Vint's very fine 19th century Neo Classical work have been featured at The Albany Institute of History and Art and the New York State Museum. Furthermore, John L. Scr's book entitled "New York Furniture at the New York State Museum " contains historical references to James Vint's 19 th century company and his elegant Neo Classical furniture. We are thrilled to be able to offer this gorgeous very fine quality James Vint piece to you. The elegant flame mahogany details on this impressive Neo Classical Sideboard are fabulous! This beautiful Neo Classical Empire Flame Mahogany Sideboard is wearing its original finish and is graced with an extra large, handsome flame mahogany chimney splash adorned with elegant Pineapple Fountain Carved Corinthian half columns that sits on the beautiful mahogany top. The chimney splash is removable for shipping purposes. Storage opportunity is found in the three elegant dimensional flame mahogany clad top dovetailed drawers. Additional storage is found in the three lower compartments by way of removable storage shelves situated behind each of the four lovely flame mahogany doors. Notice the elegant bowed flame mahogany front on the center doors. Each of the two side compartments behind the lovely flame mahogany doors measure 23" in height, 18 ½" in width and 16 ¾" in depth. The center compartment behind the elegant bowed flame mahogany doors measures 23" in height, 30" in width, and 16 ¾" in depth. Again, the shelves can be removed. Intact, working locks are found in each of the flame mahogany doors and a tasseled key is included. You'll be sure to notice that the backside of this wonderful sideboard is chamfered (a sign of fine quality workmanship). The lovely details on this piece continue with the four elegant and fancy Pineapple Fountain Carved Corinthian Full Columns that grace the sides of the lower compartment and culminate into fabulous Acanthus Carved Hairy Paw front feet.
