Art of the Chinese Potters Please scroll down for more images A fine and magnificent pair of 19th century Chinese blue and white porcelain baluster vases, impressive size, stoutly potted with long cylindrical neck, painted in true mirror image and in strong underglazed cobalt-blue with birds, detached flowers and leaves, the shoulder decorated with a band of bats and clouds blow a band of key-frets, a wider band of stiff leaves above the foot, the neck decorated with flowers and scattered leaves, interior and base glazed white, the unglazed foot rim burnt slightly orange in the firing. NOTE : The weight of this pair of vase is very heavy, bidders should take note of the high shipping rate (see below). DATE : Chinese, Qing Dynasty, 19th Century. MARK : no base mark or signature. SIZE : approximately just over 16" (41 cm) high. CONDITION : Both vases in perfect condition, one pinhead size burst glaze bubble to rim noted for accuracy only. No chips, no cracks or other damages, and no repairs.
