This stately Trifari enamel and rhinestone double Hyacinths fur clip is an Alfred Philippe design from 1941. Design Patent No. 125,820 was issued March 11, 1941. The pink enamel flowers are outlined with lighter pink and the blue flowers are outlined with lighter blue enamel. Each flower on the Hyacinth stalks have small clear rhinestone centers. The large curved enamel leaves are encrusted with small, clear pave set rhinestones. The flower stems are brown enamel with green highlights. T is some minor enamel loss, particularly on the flower edges, but this does not detract from the beauty of this well known fur clip. All the rhinestones are clear and brilliant. The fur clip is featured on pages 107, 108 of the Brunialti's, "A Tribute to America". It is majestic in size at 2 1/4"x4 1/2". The Rhodium plating exhibits no wear and the 2-prong clip has good tension. It is signed Trifari on the clip and is stamped with the Des.Pat.No. 125,820 on the back of the center leaf.
