Circa 1911 bird's eye post card view of Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania.

CONDITION: This postcard is USED with a 1911 Mahanoy City postmark. The card is in GOOD condition with some visible wear to the face, edges and corners; t is some damage along the top right edge. Please see the image. I guarantee all my items to be as described. Please bid confidently. If you are not satisfied with the condition as described, I will refund your money.

PA Tax: PA residents are expected to pay 6% sales tax or provide valid sales tax number prior to mailing of card.

Insurance: Insurance is optional at buyer's expense; the cost is $2.00 within the U.S.A. for values under $50. Cards are packed extremely well, but I will not be responsible for the item after it is mailed. I haven't had any problems with damage or loss in the mail, but if t is a concern, then please insure it or pay to have it shipped via Federal Express, or another private carrier of your choice.

Mahanoy City (pronounced MA-HA-noy City, or MA-noy City) is a borough located 50 miles (80 km) north by west of Reading in northern Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania or the southern Coal Region. The name "Mahanoy" is believed to be a variation of the Native American word 'Maghonioy', or "the salt deposits".
Schuylkill County is a county located in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania w the Schuylkill River starts. It is located in the heart of the anthracite Coal Region of Pennsylvania. Schuylkill County was created on March 1, 1811, from parts of Berks and Northampton Counties and named for the Schuylkill River. As of 2000, the population was 150,336. Pottsville is the county seat.
