We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful and most unusual mahogany custom Duncan Phyfe sideboard that dates from the 1940s. It is a beautiful piece that was made by the Brown hart furniture company out of Lenoir, NC. This particular sideboard means a lot to us because it was sold by an old time furniture company that used to operate in our old home town of Fairfield, ME by the name of Lawyer Brothers as indicted on the paper label on the back of the sideboard. It is really nice with four dove tail drawers in the center, two on the outside edges above the panel picture frame molded doors, carved columns of rope braided molding underneath the top drawers, panel sides, applied bracket base and a cut out bow front top.The crew in the restoration shop has refinished the top and actually re-tinted it and stained it back to the same color as it was originally with the shading on the edges. The overall size is 60 inches wide, 20 inches deep and 35.5 inches high. It is all original with the oval brass stamp hardware, all the moldings are intact, and very minor nicks and dings. It is in outstanding condition.
