Up for bid is a like new, beautiful , for display only, mahogany rendition of a Hudson type steam locomotive and coal tender that is designed as a display model. This decorative piece of America's railroading history is completely handcrafted and made of mahogany with multiple layers of high gloss polyurethane to give the model stunning looks as well as durability. I have the Lionel operating set in O scale and this one resembles it quite a bit, although its non scale and looks more Standard or G scale in size. This is a display piece and not a scale operating locomotive but if it were I would estimate this set would be somewhere in the Standard or G scale. range. The model is approx. 27 " in length from the front of the engine to the rear of the coal tender. Separately the engine is approx. 16" in length and the coal tender is approx.11" in length. The model stands approximately 5" high and 5" in width. The wooden tracks are approx. 3" wide and 28" long. These exact same models are currently selling on ebay, and will be selling at the malls in a few weeks for well over $100.00 and if you are only interested in a brand new one, other than this like new one that's in it's original box, they are well worth the price. These models are not cheaply put together pieces. I cannot honestly advertise mine as new because my wife bought this read more
