This is a very fine antique mahogany grandfather 6 tube clock made by Jacques of Germany for Tiffany & Company. Was bought new in the early 1900s by the previous owner's family. Features a solid mahogany case with a flat molded crest with applied medallions over applied carved urns and draperies. Reeded 3/4 square posts flank the large glass door with the lower half having a heavy bevelled glass. Rests on a molded base. The face having an etched floral brass background, brass numbers and a white etched number surround. Original hour, minute and second hands. Brass marked Germany. Has Westminster and Chime on six bells chime switch. Silent and strike switch and silent and hour strike switch. Features a French style movement marked Jacques, 6 tube chime, large brass pendulam and 3 brass weights. In excellent working condition. Beautiful sounding gong. Original finish has minor scratches and dings from 100 years of use.
