This auction is for 3 of the hard-to-find, high number books from the Maida series by Inez Haynes Irwin. These hardcover books are in good condition, with some wear along the edges and at the top and bottom of the spines. Each book is enhanced by a reproduction copy of its original dust jackets. These are exactly like the beautiful, detailed original DJs. These laser copies make the books l ook especially lovely! Each book has map endpapers showing the interesting locations found in various stories in the series. The pages of the book are clean and firm, though just a little age-darkened. The bindings are tight.Detailed description below.Maida's Little Zoo -- #10 in the series. The children prepare for the arrival of animals from a zoo that's being remodeled. The cover picture shows the children in front of a sign saying "Noah's Ark." there are elephants and a giraffe. The inside front cover, with the map endpapers, has been scribbled on. About 4 of interior pages have small stains on them. Otherwise, the pages are chean and undamaged.Maida's Little Hospital -- #12 in the series. Cover shows the children, with Maida in a white uniform waiting on a boy who is sitting weakly in a chair under a tree. Little House in the background.Maida's Little Farm -- #13 in the series.
