These are from some of my Dad's things. I know Dad made the Mainspring Winder, and I believe he also made the movement holder. The movement holder at the base is approx. 6 3/4" x 10". The "arms" are about 8 1/2" long.I had sold another mainspring winder a few months back, just like this one. After going through more of Dad's things, I came upon this one also. THIS ONE FOR THE MOST PART APPEARS TO BE FINISHED, BUT IS NOT YET COMPLETELY DONE. It doesn't have any barrels with it like the other one did. Also, t are no holes drilled yet in the base, for mounting. I didn't know if another clockmaker would want this for finishing, or not. All of the pieces slide along the base piece. The handle turns and "clicks" on the side piece. The lever under the piece that clicks, can be moved to the left or the right. The two middle sliding pieces = One of them has an aluminum piece that flips back and forth. I believe the other one had some kind of wire piece connected to it on the first winder I sold of Dad's; this one does not have that wire piece, only the aluminum piece that slides.Also, the tall end piece that slides opposite the handle end, has a piece in the top that you can put in and out. The piece is approx. 1 3/8" long.The base is 10 1/2" long x 1" Wide. Mounting feet are approx. 2 3/4" W x 1" The tall sliding end pieces are approx. 4" H x 1" The middle sliding pieces are approx. 5/8" x 1"
