EARLY CHRISTMAS SALE!!!!! You are bidding on a Porcelain Maine 1905-1909 (1st Issue) License Plate. is a stunning 4 digit porcelain license, which grades about vg+.. The plate has very exceptional gloss (professionally reglazed) and striking color. The plate has some slight lines through the 8 and the 0, but not noticalble at a few feet. Seldomly do you find nice displayable 1st issues, but this is the exception. The back of the plate is about average. Check out my other fine porcelain plates for sale this week. Over 5 years old. The plate includes all 4 original grommets. The ALPCA archives note that this plate was issued in 1911. Same style plate was used from 1905 - 1911, with many subtle variations along the way.
