From a lovely Maine estate auction and sale, tonight I'll be listing a number of interesting antiques and collectibles including this fascinating grouping of four bronze clown or circus acrobats.....miniature bronze figurine sculptures, clowns in various clown acts.... ....a unique and fabulously detailed group that are just fun to have on your mantle or piano or desk.....t is one clown balancing with legs wide apart and two hands holding onto one of the outstretched feet of a clown on the ground..the clown at the top has a wide ruffled collar and pointed circus hat with pom pom at the end, the clown on the bottom also has the ruffled collar but no hat,...the second is a clown balancing on a ball that is on top of another clowns bent over back, the clown on top with legs pointed outward, ruffled collar, no hats on either......the third clown is sitting with his legs outstretched and pointed and he is holding a hoop in his hands, as if for someone or something to jump through it...the four and fifth are the same, a clown balancing on the bent over back of another clown, pointed top clown hat and ruffled collars on both...all have a round bronze base that they are on, measuring about 1 5/8" across...the detail all around is quite spectacular, even the facial expressions are amazing....I can't find any maker marks, they range from about
