From a lovely Maine estate auction and sale, tonight I'll be listing a number of interesting antiques and collectibles including this awesome antiqueVictorian era photography or photo album with about 40 tintypes and CDV's inside, all protected by the album pages which are edged in gold (see picture), t are WONDERFUL pictures of babies, small children, men, women, couples...if you love these old pictures you'll love this book! It measures about 5" by 6" by 3" thick with ornate folding latches that snap on the edge (see photo...the album cover itself is deeply embossed and has the word PHOTOGRAPHS printed in gold on the binding edge..the spline (I believe that is what it is called!) is pulled away (see picture) but I believe you could have this professionally glued if you wished to keep it all intact...the album cover is scuffed but for over 110 years old I think its very awesome!
