Antique Italian Majolica lamp with Scraffito.Lions on either side of the vase add to the outline of this Italian majolica lamp with easily dates to the very early 1900's.Unfortunate though it might be that there are chips to the lower protruding rim, it is in impressive condition for a pottery lamp of this age.The unique way of attaching the upper plate to this lamp, avoiding making a hole in the jar is true to Italian workmanship.Old, pretty and quite rare, fully signed.Jar alone measures 9 high by 7 1/2 wide.
