Philip Jos é Farmer: The Maker of Universes (1965) Ace Books, 1st Edition Autographed I got all my Philip Jos é Farmer books autographed by him in person in San Jos é , about 15 in all. This is the only one I'm currently selling. I asked him how he felt about his long name, and he said "I curse my parents whenever I do book signings.." This book is a first edition, but is not in very good condition, see my photos, there's a good bit of wear.. When he signed Venus On the Half Shell (written by Farmer, not by Vonnegut as many suspected), he signed it "Kilgore Trout", as a joke as that was the pseudonym he used on the book (a parody of Vonnegut), a play on author Theodore Sturgeon's name.. Note: I'm just a science fiction and book reader since about age 4, I'm not a book dealer, so conditions to me are relative and personal, don't go by labels like "good" or "very good", just look at my pictures - what is very good to me may only be good to you.. these gradings are basically meaningless, if you see something you want, you'll buy it if the price is agreeble, that's how my huge collection was built over 50 years.
