Makila by Jean Patou was created in 1961.Listed for auction is a bottle of this rare parfum de toilette by Jean Patou. Makila, created in 1961 by Jean Patou was based on white flowers including Jasmin Sambac - a type of jasmin with an unusual note. It hasn't been sold since the 60's and is not often seen on ebay. This is a very rare - discontinued fragrance from Jean Patou. This bottle still has about 1/3 of the original contents and smells great. This classic bottle measures 5" tall by 3 1/2" wide. The bottom is embossed with: JEAN PATOU BOTTLE MADE IN FRANCE It also has a sticker that says 90". It was only sold in the 1960's, which was the pre-Hedione era. It had jasmine notes composed l'ancienne, but still good and with a lot of naturals. An interesting bit of trivia about this fragrance is that: In the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's(1961), the perfume that Holly is spraying in the apartment hallway during her drunken scenes is Makila by Jean Patou. This is a must-have for any collector. Check out my other items ! Be sure to add me to your favorites list ! Please e-mail any questions We gladly accept paypal! Thank you for looking!!!
