Relist item Beautiful and very rare old Hako Makura (Box Pillow) decorated with Samurai Crest of the Shogun Takeda Shingen. Such box pillow was used by samurai to prevent his traditional Chonmage (hairstyle) from dishevel while he was sleeping (pic 5) This Hako Makura is considered from mid-Showa period(Showa:1926-1989) and of course it has some scratches, but regarding its age, it is in very good condition. I suppose the pillows cloth is recent made. Unfortunately, due to private reasons I have to give up a part of my samurai-relation collected items. Size: Length: 22.9cm/ 9" High (without pillow):11.4cm/4.5"Thick: 8.25cm/3.25" Weight 327g It is a very rare item! Tfore it is a 'must have' for lover of the Japanese Ancient Culture.
