Hokusai (1760 -1849) Japanese Woodblock reprint Under the Mannen Bridge at Fukagawa, EdoSeries; Thirty-six Views of Fuji Fine Old 36 Fuji reprints - This lovely print is an especially fine reprinting from Hokusai's "Thirty-six Views of Fuji" series published in the early 1930's. They were produced to exacting standards, carefully matched for color and detail and have the appearance of Hokusai's original works. The colors are beautiful and well preserved, the detail is top-notch, and each print is a lovely representation of Hokusai's original series. The prints have softly aged with time and have a beautiful antique sense about them, giving them an appearance closest to the originals at a fraction of the expense. Comments- The Mannen Bridge stands over the Onagigawa River as it flows into the Sumida River. Fishermen sit below, while travelers pass across bridge. With strong colors and nice detail, a lovely print depicting a calm scene. Artist- Hokusai (1760 - 1849) Image size- 14 1/2" x 10" Condition- Excellent soft color and fine detail.
