Offered is a wonderful, original watercolor painting, from a large Black Americana collection. This was done by Manet Harrison Fowler. From the estate of Manet Helen Fowler, daughter of Manet Harrison Fowler, a singer, dancer, founder of the Mwalimu School of African Art, National Association of Negro Musicians, Tuskegee Institute graduate with George Washington Carver in 1912, painter and more, Father Stephen Fowler, founder of the Fort Worth black YMCA, Baptist Deacon and more. An important work, with important provenance. Email for more detailed family information. This would make a wonderful addition to any collection. We have many items from this estate we will be listing. Signed lower right corner Manet Harrison Fowler 1974. On back it reads Syracuse 1974 and t is an index card which reads "Manuela" water color by Manet Harrison Fowler. The piece is stunning, much nicer in person, showing what appears to be a South American Indian. A wonderful scene. Good condition. It measures 19"w x 24"h.
