BIG ..SPECTACULAR...HEAVY....REALLY MAKES A STATEMENT This bowl is made from a single piece of American Manzanita root burl. This "root burl"is found in California and Oregon and grows partialy below ground. Extremely heavy with rich deep purple and cream color. Takes a wonderful polish and is as unique as it is difficult to turn (like turning a piece of railroad track). It is 15.5" in diameter, 2" high and weighs 6 pounds 7 ounces. A+ in all aspects I knew they'd be nice, but these are incredible !!!!!! Thanks, Michael Building up my collection of David Walsh vases......valuable collectibles....... In a newspaper article on David Walsh, David Dennis, a retail buyer for the Renwick Gallery at the Smithsonian said "Walsh is one of his top vendors". Dennis, who is amazed at how light Walsh's bowls are, said his bowls sell between $60 and $200 but the highly figured larger bowls have sold between $300 and $800. Photos are of the actual piece. Photos after that of the bottom of the piece showing wood, number and signature are those taken around the studio or on site recovery operations. PLEASE! Use a ruler to help you determine its size as the photos do not show that. And, be sure to check out his feedback. All my prices are based on the time it takes to make the piece, the cost of the wood, supplies and overhead. I like to auction most of my pieces starting at $ .99. Many customers have asked that I put some pieces on with a "BUY IT NOW" option. I start these at a minimum price and put a "buy it now" price that reflects what I think is a fair price. If someone wants the piece right away they can "buy it now". If someone first bids the minimum price, the "buy it now" price disappears and it goes thru the auction to be sold to the highest bidder. Quality and customer satisfaction are my number one concern. My pieces vary in size, shape, style, and type of wood...BUT NOT IN QUALITY! I put the same quality workmanship into my small pieces as in my large expensive pieces. EVERY PIECE IS COMPLETED TO THE SAME HIGH STANDARDS. My guarantee is: If you are not happy with your purchase, return it to me and I will refund your purchase price, and postage both ways. NO QUESTIONS ASKED! I have 100% positive feedback with over 4000 feedbacks. My average custome...
