This ceramic bust of Mao Tse-Tung was purchased in a prominent Chinese Arts and Craft store in Hong Kong. It is a very nice bust, probably made as a propaganda piece during Mao's infamous leadership. It stands 9 1/2 inches high and is in excellent condition. The bottom has the manufacturer's mark impressed in the ceramic. I would guess the age at about 40 years old. I like the piece and paid quite a bit for it, but my wife has relegated it to the basment. I must admit, it is difficult to display the bust of a man that was responsible for the death of 70 million of his own countrymen, but it is a very nice piece. The shipping rate was from Columbia to San Francisco, UPS ground, and would be priced more or less depending on the method and distance. A money order is the preferred payment method, but I will accept checks also.
