Maj. Gen. W.T. Sherman, commanding U.S. Forces. Genls. J.E. Johnston and J.B. Hood, com’dg Conf’d Forces. Compiled by Authority of the Secretary of War in the Office of the Chief of Engineers, U.S. Army. 1874. Authorities: Surveys made by J.T. Dodge and H.H. Ruger, Civil Eng’s. Map of the Atlanta Campaign compiled under the direction of Captain O.M. Poe, U.S. Eng’s. Captured Confederate maps. Am. Photo-Lithographic Co. N.Y. (Osborne’s Process). Overall measurements 37” by 28”, map image is 26 ¼” by 24 ½”, scale is 1 ½” to 3 miles, laid down on a canvas backing, good condition, a small hole punched through the map.
