Copper-engraved map of the Germany, Prussia and part of Poland. Large and elaborate cartouche, nine distance scales. This is a truly beautiful map with lots of details and geographic names.

This is an authentic map printed in the middle of 18 century. We don't sell reproductions!!!


This map is in a fair condition. Printed on a strong paper. Left and right margins are trimmed, but image itself is not affected. T is 9 cm piece of archival tape at the button fold as visible on the images.

Tobias Lotter was a German publisher and engraver who married the daughter of the elder Matthaus Seutter. He engraved many of Seutter's maps and eventually succeeded to the business in 1756, becoming one of the better-known cartographers in the eighteenth-century German School. After his death the business was carried on by his son, M. A Lotter.
