Set of 6 Classical New England Side Chairs Circa: 1830-40 Maple Wood Cane Seats LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY!!! I will NOT be shipping these!! These all have a rolled front on the seats making them quite comfortable. Legs are turned and tapered. They definitely have a classic New England look! These chairs were from my husband's family who lived in western Massachusetts (Greenfield & Northfield) their entire lives. These are all structurally sound chairs and have been used in my home as spare chairs for the holidays and large get-togethers for the past 15 years. These chairs were used by my husband's parents and then his sister's family as dining room chairs until the late 90's. At that time his sister moved from Vermont to Florida....an low and behold....a moving truck dropped these off at our home in Maryland. We planned on using these chairs in our home on a permanent basis, but then the syle of our home interior took off in another direction. I never had all of these chairs grouped together until I took these photos. I now realize that t are some differences...the splats on some are different and two have a rolled back. Some of the legs look a bit different than others. is how the photos are grouped together, so we all don't go crazy. Photo 1 shows All the Chairs. Photos 2 thru 5 show the same two chairs from different angles. Photos 6 thru 9 show two other chairs from different angles. Photos 10 thru 12 show two other chairs from different angles. eBay allow 12 photos, so that's it. My husband's Dad apparently rescued these at different times and refinished them as needed...meaning as the family grew. The seats on five of them were re-caned in the 40's..the other has the original cane and most of the original finish. One of the rolled backs has a gouge out of the wood on the backside. One of the chairs has a part of the splat crack off. I attached it with a water soluable glue for the photo....and also not to loose the part. You can remove it easily to reglue it properly. Please take a good look at the photos and ask any questions. I'll answer them to the best of my ability. Approximate measurements: 17 3/4" high seat.....34 3/4" in overall height. Come from a smoke-free home and have been stored in a climate controlled basement. PayPal payment is required within 3 days. Pickup is required within 10 days.....I cannot store these any longer. Severna Park is located 10 minutes from Annapolis, MD...30 minutes from Baltimore, MD....and about 40 minutes from Washington, D.C. Again, please ask questions, because ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
