This lot, A MARBLE CONSIGNMENT , consists of a 1-23/32" (44 mm) hand made "Quadruple Ribbon Core" (ca. 1850-1870) in Near Mint (8.4) condition with a small subsurface moon and several tiny to pinprick flakes and subsurface reflections/sparkles, as well as general wear and pinpricking (examined, as always, under 20-power magnification with strong lighting). It has four sets of outer strands, two yellow and two white, spiraling around four interior ribbons, two blue/pink/white and two teal/pink/white. The basal pontil is ground with faceting, the earliest finishing technique for hand made glass marbles. IMPORTANT NOTE: PLEASE AVOID CONTACTING ME THROUGH EBAY AS MANY MESSAGES ARE NOT REACHING ME, WHILE OTHERS COME WITH NO WAY OF RESPONDING TO THE SENDER. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU EMAIL ME DIRECTLY; MY ADDRESS CAN BE FOUND BELOW (sorry, I cannot list my email address twice in an auction listing, as per eBay's completely arbitrary rules). PLEASE NOTE THAT I NO LONGER ACCEPT PAYPAL DUE TO THEIR ONEROUS FEES AND UNFAIR TREATMENT OF MERCHANTS. HOWEVER, IF YOU HAVE NO OTHER METHOD OF PAYMENT AVAILABLE TO YOU I WILL MAKE AN EXCEPTION. OTHERWISE, I PREFER MONEY ORDERS OR PERSONAL CHECKS...I DO NOT HOLD CHECKS TO CLEAR UNLESS YOU ARE A FIRST TIME CUSTOMER MAKING A LARGE PURCHASE. EMAIL me with any questions you may have. Payment is by money
