Here's a rare and very beautiful antique German transparent leaf green coreless swirl marble, made in the late 19th century or very early 20th century, measuring 11/16" in diameter. The rich green base is both unusual and stunning, and the entire marble is original (never polished.) At the surface, three bands comprising several filaments each, in colors of royal blue, red, yellow, aqua, white and one in glittery gold lutz (photo #2) spiral clockwise between the poles. This striking marble is in excellent condition - I have rated it mint minus - with nominal surface wear: a few fleabites, flakes and "as-mades", but no significant damage. Both pontils are unfinished (photos #6 and 7.) This wonderful old handmade marble is much more striking in hand than in my photos, and it would make a superb addition to any antique marble collection. Winner pays $2.40 first class postage. Payment for this item is expected within three days of end of auction. If you would like to continue bidding, you have up to five days to do so, and I'll combine shipping on everything you win.
