Presenting a rare opalescent murano lamp by Marbro. The glass on this elegant beauty is fluted within the gold gilt frame. This is a vintage piece, and extraordinarily beautiful. T is one VERY similar on for $3800 (put "opalescent lamp" in the search field and you will find it. The dealer quoted me the price, as it is not stated). The lamp retains it's original gold gilt finial, and original shade. However, the shade has a stain and the interior lining (to prevent scorching) has become torn. Should the winner want the shade, please let me know as t will be an additional cost for shipping it. The glass takes on a beautiful glow when placed in different lighting situations. In a dimly lit room, it takes on a presence of its own and glows a warm gold color - which is reflective of its gold gilt base. The overall ht., which is base to finial measures 43" tall. The base to top of the glass is about 23" tall. It is approximately 8.5" at its widest. The glass looks like it is made out of five different pieces (if not 5, definitely 3 - a little hard to be certain, as I am not taking it apart). Condition Report: Happy to say it's in perfect condition, albeit it is missing a tiny piece of metal from the base of the ball on the pull chain. We're in Chicago proper, should anyone want to come by for inspection, or pick up. Will ship via DHL ground or UPS - unless the winner wishes to upgrade and pay extra for USPS priority. Hi Folks, I'll be honest, I don't want anybody sending extra money for the shade because I don't think they'll be happy with it. Keep that money and get a new shade made for it. If anybody is in the Chicago area, I can personally recommend somebody who has been in the business for about 35 years and does work for Holly Hunt - seriously!
