I bought this Marchon HO Race Track with Two HO Corvettes, used, from another modeler a few years ago. I used it once then, and then used it again when I set it up for the photos for this listing. I set up this quick layout next to my desk, and still had 2 curve pieces left. Check out the pictures! The set contains two controllers and two cars, Corvettes, and the cars run well. The track also has a loop-de-loop feature, and I've included two extra loop stands and five extra loop track pieces, but the five extra do have one broken end pin on them. However, I have found, that since it is the internal push levers that actually keep the pieces connected, that the broken end pins don't really have an effect as long as the rails are making good contact. In fact, three of the 6" straight pieces also have a broken end pin, and I did use them in the pictured layout, and the cars didn't even notice. One can always put a small piece of scotch or electrical tape over the small gap in the track. All of the other track pieces are in very good shape. I have never broken one of these Marchon pieces of track, I got them in this condition. As long as one pulls them apart in a straight manner, and sets up the track on a table, off the floor where it won't get stepped on, I find these Marchon tracks to be great in all respects. Each car has a strong set of magnets and they really fly around that loop great! In fact, the cars are nearly a blur when running! I was having a blast testing the cars and track, and had to force myself to quit to build this listing. Darn. But in reality, someone with better eyes, smaller fingers, and a steadier hand will enjoy this size (HO) of track more than an old guy like me. Both of the controllers work just fine, and the power connector works great along with the power supply, and the lap counter works wonderfully as well (counts to 10 laps in each lane). I put a few tiny drops of plastic-friendly oil on specific points on each of the cars (I have been a slot-car racer since the early 60's, so I do know how to do these things - no worries!). Otherwise, I did not attempt any other tuning. But in my humble opinion, these cars might run even better with a slight bit of weight (clay or lead) in the nose to balance the pressure from the springs on the pickups. And some newer tires wouldn't hurt either, but they are running ok on the current ones. Set contains: 4 Straights - 9" length 5 Straights - 6" length (three with a broken pin) 16 Curves - 12" length (measured in the center) 1 Straight Lap 9" Counter (counts to 10 laps, 0 to 9) 1 Power Connector 9" Straight 1 Straight 9" Chicane 9 4-1/2" Loop Sections which make a complete loop 5 4-1/2" Extra Loop Sections with broken pins 4 Loop Supports (2 are extras as only 2 are needed to build the loop) 2 Controllers 2 HO Corvettes 1 Power Supply 10 Bridge Supports, 6 Tall and 4 Short 32 Flag Poles and Flags - all new and still on their trees with flags on the original paper 28 Fences (flags plug into the fences) Other than the five extra loops and three of the 6" straights mentioned above, a ll of the track pieces and fences are in good shape with nothing broken or damaged. Be somewhat careful when putting the track together to make sure good the center push levers latch. Probably best if assembled by an adult.
