HI and THANK you for looking at this MINT condition RARE Mar-crest MARCREST MIB RANGE SET, WHICH FEATURES a 20 oz grease jar with cover, and embossed Salt/Pepper shakers, in the daisy and dot pattern, original plastic plugs in bottom....Never used, opened for pict. only. w/ a reasonable LOW opening Bid and NO reserve! ! In the popular warm chocolate color called Colorado Brown, which was made for the Marcrest Line by the well noted Monmouth Potteries of Illinois for the Distributor Marshall Burns of Chicago back in 1937 thru the early 60's. If you are "new" to collecting this pottery for your trip back thru Nostalgia Lane, this piece is for YOU! And, it is still quite functional! It is a necessary piece for the serious and avid collector in part because Marcrest has not been produced for MANY years, and now that the Monmouth Pottery Company also has closed its doors forever, this has added significance in that as time goes on, it will only become more desirable and no longer available unless you look to antique stores, flea markets or Ebay to complete your collection. Not many of the Marcrest Line were produced with these rare pieces... surprise some folks just starting to collect these pieces.
