Marcus & Co. Tie Bar This fabulous piece is solid 14 karat yellow gold and weighs 7.7 grams. It is a reverse intaglio tie bar featuring an adorable beagle. It is signed on the back MARCUS & CO. 14K. It measures 2 1/8 inches long and the bezel set intaglio measures 16mm in diameter. This Art Deco piece, circa 1940's, is in very good condition. The gold has some fine scratches that could be polished up like new if the winning bidders prefers. The crystal has some fine scratches also, however they are not noticeable without magnification. Marcus & Co was a renown, high end, American Jewelry company... one of the few American companies to have competed with Tiffany & Co. A very prestigious and highly sought after designer name.
