Marguerite Kirmse's Dogs. Introduction by Reginald T. Townsend. Published in New York by The Derrydale Press in 1930. Limited to 750 copies. Frontisepiece a pencil signed etching of a Scottish Terrier puppy, entitled "Hello There !". 76 full page illustrations of dogs from Kirmse's etchings, breeds include West Highland White, Irish Terrier, Greyhound, Wire Hair Fox Terrier, English Setter, Pointer, Schnauzer, Collie, Pekingese, Great Dane, Chow Chow, and many images of her famous Scotties. It's a sensational book, certainly one a the greatest illustrated dog books of all time. Bound tightly. Pages clean and bright. Some browning to covers, and some edgewear. Paper label on spine with small chip. Basically a Very Good copy of a fabulous work of art. $1100.00
