This large and beautiful Marie & Santana is the piece that sparked my passion for Native American pottery.

**part of my personal collection**

The polish is still in great condition, inspite of the hairline crack on one side and minor surface wear, typical of early pottery pieces, I've been told it's in good condition.

I purchased it for $4,000 with the hairline crack. The photo captures that it's t, but in life it doesn't show that much, one has to really look at it to see it. It shows as a beautiful piece, I've taken care of it since having it. T is no known repair.

Anyone wishing to know more about Maria Martinez and her family legacy should look her up.

Incredible story about a fascinating woman known world wide, in 1934 she was invited to the White House by President Roosevelt.

I've included a photograph of an original painting by Tony Da. The subject is: Plains Warrior with Breastplate and feather.

In the photo you'll notice t's a handwritten post card by Tony Da regarding the piece, it reads as follows:

Let me apologize for the delay. I did not use the photograph which we had originally talked about because I ran across another that I thought was far better. I'm quite satisfied with the way it came out and reluctant to part with it. It's the best I've done so far and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have drawing it.

Tony Da is the Grandson of Marie and Julian and the son of Popovi Da. Tony's life was cut short because of a tragic accident making his pieces very sought after. It's believed t are as few as 4 pen & ink drawings such as this one.

The piece is currently on consignment in a gallery.
