The weather is getting warmer, and this hot item is sure to make a splash! This set of photographs are of the beautiful Marilyn Monroe on Santa Moncia beach in California. These historical shots were captured by George Barris, one of the last to photograph Marilyn shortly before her demise in 1962. These photos were taken of Marilyn on Santa Monica beach in June of 1962, 46 years ago. Each 5x7 image captures a different side of Marilyn. Some images capture a child-like Marilyn frolicking in the surf. Others of Marilyn being playful yet seductive in her terry robe. And one of the last images shows Marilyn illuminated by the sunset. All of the photographs are signed by George Barris. Some of these images appear in their collaborative book, " Marilyn, Her Life in Her Own Words ", which is included as a bonus item in this lot.
