Offered is a interesting cut down cavalry saber. I picked this up today from a young man who had a Marine grandfather who carried this knife in the Pacific. Knife and sheath have obviously been worn on campaign, but are both in decent shape. Knife has some scattered mossing on blade from w possibly blood?? wasn't cleaned off. Markings near hilt are pictured. Brass wire wrapped handle is solid and intact. Sheath is supple and stitching is tight. Only if these items could talk!
