Framed 16" X 28" oil on board painting of the steamship "Jefferson" (1850-1921) of the Old Dominion Line underway by famed port artist Antonio Jacobsen. Signed "A. Jacobsen" and dated 1912. The Jefferson was built by the Delaware River Co. in Chester, Pa.. She operated between 1899-1932 with a homeport of New York. See Antonio Jacobsen, The Checklist pp. 161-162. Excellent condition. Colors remain bright and vivid. Frame is new and of excellent quality.
