A vintage ww2 USMC Bolo 1945 heavy knife with it's original leather/brass wwII thick scabbard. Blade marked U.S.M.C. CHATILLON N.Y. This is the three (3) brass/copper rivet handle, these were issued to the Marine soldiers - not the Marine medics. T is one stable superficial hair crack (2" long and 4mm deep) which looks more like a scratch - doens detract from appearanceor the value. Overall in scabbard: 17-18 inches. Enormously heavy: about 2.75 Lbs. Like an axe. Nice patina and scattered usual oxidation marks. Looks like was not used much. The edge could be just a factory edge - I'm not sure because such a heavy stock. Scabbard is also in a great shape. Very clean and healthy. With only the usual storage evidence. Marked: USMC Boyt 45 .
