MARIO SANDON SIGNED GLASS FISH

This is an absolutely beautiful hand blown glass fish sculpted by famed artist Mario Sandon in cranberry glass.

Mario began his art form at age 14 in Murano, Italy. In the 1960's he and his brother-in-law, Roberto Moretti were brought to the United States by Pilgrim Glass Company owner, Alf Knobler. His glass pieces are of museum quality--many items are one-of-a-kind. The prices usually are in the range of $750 -- $1,000.

The cranberry fish is truly unique in design and patterned texture. His signature is etched on the belly of the fish.

The item is in excellent, like-new condition. It is part of a family estate filled with collectible glass.

The length is approximately 14" by 10" high and the weight is about 5 pounds.
